About Albion House Day Nursery

Our key staff all hold NVQ Childcare qualifications, and are encouraged to participate in further courses/qualifications relevant to their experiences in nursery. The nursery is managed by the owner, Mel, who has a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional (Teacher). Our friendly team of staff work in their set rooms as far as is possible. This is important for the children as they have continuity and get to know the people looking after them. Also the staff get to know the children well, their routines, likes, dislikes and their needs. Planning of the curriculum in each room is contributed to by all staff. Observations are taken of children in a variety of ways to find out their interests. The planning is then carried out to plan for individual children's interests. Each child has a key-worker who knows that child especially well and keeps their personal record file up to date.
