About Artishots

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY: Most of my work starts off with a photo I've taken and progresses into one or more of the three categories listed here. Shots are mainly taken from around the NE of Scotland and altered in varying degrees in Photoshop depending on the finished result to be achieved. DIGITAL ART: Pictures which are turned into art often don't resemble that of the original picture. These can range from realistic to abstract. These digitally-originated pieces are then sent to a Giclee fine-art printer and output onto an archival paper or canvas. MIXED MEDIA: Embellishments are used to enhance the art and give the overall piece the look and feel of an original painting. Acrylic paints and glossing mediums are used on the prints to add an extra kick of colour and texture, making them truly unique one off prints.
