Craniosacral therapy uses a gentle touch to focus attention on specific parts of the body, commonly starting at the base of the skull and working its way up to the sacrum and lower spine although the whole body is treated as one entity. This practice unblocks and releases physical problems and body tension. It allows the body to realign and communicate with itself, allowing energy to flow freely and function effectively. This is an open form of therapy, and patients may be invited to participate and communicate during the session. This allows us to address specific areas that connect with the emotions or stress factors that the patient may be experiencing, and improves the effectiveness of the treatment.
