About Florence Arts Centre

Florence Arts Centre is a multi-purpose hub for the arts, based in the old mineworkers' building at the disused Florence iron ore mine in the historic market town of Egremont. An art gallery, an auditorium for live music, theatre and film screenings, workshop spaces and artists' studios are all on sire offering a rich variety of events to suit all tastes. There is also Paintmakers' studio, using the raw iron ore pigment form the mine to create a range of artists' materials and a small café and licensed bar.
