Lakeside (The Old Waterworks) in the beautiful 12th Century village of Old Hunstanton, is situated just minutes walk from the beach, the golf club and the long distance coastal path, and enjoys a unique position in secluded peaceful grounds next to a lake. The lake is frequented by a large number of birds and has its own resident flock of delightful white ducks. Swifts, swallows and house martins can be seen on a daily basis in the summer dipping into the lake for a drink, with frequent bird sightings including kingfishers, moorhens, red kites and buzzards, to name but a few. A large decked area sits to the rear of the house with a boardwalk running the length of the lake (some 50 metres). Chairs and tables are available for the exclusive use of guests, and there is a small lawned area next to the gravelled car park. A number of mature trees surround the lake and premises. All rooms have large TV, kettle, tea and coffee, "duck island" toiletries and lovely cotton laundry.
