About Mark Hilsden

Castle Fine Arts is the gallery, studio and art materials shop created by artist Mark Hilsden and his wife. The gallery showcases regular contemporary guest artists as well as Hilsden's Spacescapes. House Portraits and other commissions Since 1995 the artist Mark Hilsden has been creating portraits of people's homes across the UK and beyond ranging from cottages to castles and a diverse range of clients from bus drivers to government ministers. As a renaissance artist he has introduced a range of local pigments from the surrounding hills The North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District which are within a short distance of Castle Fine Arts. These pigments bring a new dimension to contemporary art, using interesting colours and textures.
