Formally part of a Mezze restaurant chain the Ship and Castle at Congresbury is now under new ownership and has returned to the traditional values of a high quality family country pub. Refurbished without sacrificing the wonderful historic ambience of the pub The Ship and Castle offers traditional pub food including a great Sunday roast, boutique hotel rooms, great real ales and ciders all in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The Ship & Castle was built on the site of a 15th century brewery and ale house and it has retained many original features. We have six beautifully furnished boutique hotel rooms offering a luxurious stay. As we are located only 9-miles from Bristol International Airport, we are ideally situated to explore the nearby countryside and coast, enjoy heritage cities of Bristol and Bath or visit local attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves and the Avon gorge with its world famous Clifton suspension bridge.
