About Shoplands Sawmills
The Shopland family have been shaping and selling wood for over 250 years. Based in Old Street, Clevedon, the business covers the North Somerset area including Bristol, Portishead, Nailsea and Weston Super Mare, supplying to the building and DIY trades as well as the general public. Products and skills range from sawing logs to manufacturing a wide range of timber products that include fencing panels, trellis, gates, doors and bespoke rustic furniture. Shopland's is different to modern timber merchants because we stock imported timbers alongside home grown timbers. The home grown trees come from managed local woodland within the South West of England, such as Longleat Estate and Tyntesfield, carrying on a tradition of sustainable foresty that goes back for generations. Visiting Shopland's is a great experience as you can watch your timber being cut to size. The sawmills has the capacity to cut timbers up to a length of 22ft (6m) and 30" (0.6m) square.
