About Simonds

Simonds Coach and Travel is the trading name of Simonds of Botesdale Ltd. Roland Oswald Simonds founded the company in the late 1920's. He started his business repairing bicycles and agricultural machinery before moving into coaches in the early thirties with just two coaches. These were used to carry passengers and provisions around the local area and during the summer months trips to the seaside. The company now has 40+ coaches and a turnover of £4.5m. Coaching is the mainstay of the company but there is also a car/van/HGV repair facility, and MOT's certification.
