About The Cotswolds

I first gained an interest in pruning fruit trees in 1997 when I lived in Boars Hill, Oxford. The garden we had there had a large orchard of apples, pears, plums and greengages. All of the trees were very neglected, congested, diseased, covered in moss & lichen and the fruits were either large in quantity and small or hardly there at all. I wondered if there was anything I could do to help them - it seemed such a shame not to make the most of these beautiful trees and of course I was very keen to have my own fruit! I attended a course on renovation pruning in Brighton and a course on espaliers and soft fruits in Dorset. I read pretty much every single book I could find and have been pruning fruit trees ever since.
