About The Illuminist

With a love for interior spaces and working in Design for 7 years. I founded 'The Illuminist' in York during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The Lockdown gave me the opportunity to retrain in 3D modelling and woodworking. All parts of the processes takes place under one roof and each order is a personal journey between me and my customers. I will gladly take on commissions and would welcome any opportunity to bring my customers dreams into reality. Every lamp and lampshade is heavily influenced by mid-century, Scandinavian design. I chose responsible sourced birch plywood as the medium for my works. leaving a beautiful striped unique finish. With the darker marking making each piece truly unique.
