About Throwers of Ludham

Founded in 1902 by the current proprietors Great Grandfather, you will find a complete selection of everyday staples and more luxurious groceries. The deli is stocked with fifty varieties of cheese, both local and from around the world, pates, Bray's Cottage pork pies, ten types of olive and of course our ham, cooked on the bone. Sourcing locally really is nothing new to Throwers, we have traded with some of our local suppliers for more than a decade, the wonderful ice-cream from Lakenham Creamery being one such example. Others include Letheringsett Watermill flour, Broadland Hams, Chillis Galore, Broadland Eggs, honey from here in Ludham and Woodfordes ales. Our wines and spirits section contains all the usual suspects together with a selection of fine wines put together for us by Bancroft Wines of London. Here you will find wines from the great regions of France, some unusual examples from Spain and Italy together with top-notch offerings from the Southern Hemisphere.
