About Trish Rogers

I am a sculptor working in Irish bog oak and sustainable woods. Based on the shore of Lough Neagh, I live surrounded by trees and nature, which influence my processes. My work ranges from wooden homeware, including platters and mirrors, as well as large-scale items of furniture including live-edge tables. Inspired by the landscape, and each material's natural properties. I integrate resin, which highlights the wood's natural features whilst retaining structural integrity. The Irish Bog oak I use comes from a local source each piece is carbon dated by Queens University, Belfast. Each sculpture is from wood pre 4000BC and I give a copy of the letter of authenticity with each sculpture. I use materials that are sustainable or reclaimed and are environmentally friendly. All the finishing products are natural like pure beeswax. I have exhibited her work in Portaferry, Dublin and England and has been selected for group presentations with Ulster Society of Women Artists.
